The Largest Specialized Event in the Steel Structures Industry
The Iranian Society of Steel Structures, with the aim of expanding and enhancing scientific knowledge and developing the quantity and quality of specialized workforce to improve educational and research activities in the field of steel structures, has been organizing the National and International Steel & Structures Conferences since 2010 at the Olympic Hotel International Convention Center in Tehran.
This conference includes scientific paper presentations, keynote speeches, selection of top steel designs and theses, introduction of books, researchers, and the country's top steel figure as well as a specialized steel and structures exhibition.
The Board of Directors of the Society invites all researchers, professors, students, and interested individuals to participate in this major event and extends its gratitude to all scientific supporters.

1st National Steel and Structures Conference
The 1st National Steel and Structures Conference served as the starting point for a scientific and specialized movement in the country's steel structures sector, aiming to create synergy between academia, industry, and the engineering community. By bringing together professors, researchers, designers, and steel industry professionals, this event provided an ideal platform for exchanging technical knowledge, presenting innovative achievements, and discussing the challenges and opportunities in this field.
In the
Top National Steel Designs section, prominent projects in various sectors were introduced. In the bridge sector,
Javadiyeh Cable Bridge in Tehran (Top Design) and
The 8th Ahvaz Bridge (Commended Design) were recognized. In the special sector,
Milad Tower's Steel Structure (Top Design),
Nik System Steel Structure (Commended Design), as well as
The 60x160 Dome and Minarets of the Grand Mosalla of Isfahan along with
the Maqsoureh Dome of this complex (Commended Designs) were introduced as hallmark examples of national steel engineering.
Concurrently, the
Specialized Steel and Structures Exhibition was held with the participation of companies and entities active in this sector, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase industrial capabilities, present innovative products and services, and facilitate direct connection between the industry and the engineering community.

3rd National Steel and Structures Conference
The 3rd National Steel and Structures Conference focused on the development of modern technologies in the design, analysis, and execution of steel structures, with a special emphasis on national and infrastructure projects.

Top National Steel Designs section, various projects were introduced; in the building sector,
Imam Reza (AS) Township and
Iran International Neuroscience Institute (IINI) were recognized as Top Designs, and
Tehran Grand Bazaar Project as the Commended Design. In the bridge sector,
The 8th Ahvaz Bridge (Ghadir Bridge) and
Moallem Square Bridge in Semnan were noted as Commended Designs. In the special sector,
South Pars Phase 12 Project was introduced as a Commended Design, while the
Zarrin Shahr Large Park-and-Ride Complex and

The 5th National Conference on Steel and Structures was held with an expanded approach, attended by prominent domestic and foreign professors and experts, and was dedicated to reviewing new achievements in seismic design, structural optimization, and construction technologies. This edition played an important role in strengthening the conference's international standing and developing scientific and industrial interactions.
In the section of
Top National Steel Designs, selected projects in various categories were introduced; for instance, in the building sector,
the design project for the first and second stages of the Shahinshahr Municipality Central Building was introduced as a commended design; in the non-building sector,
the space structure roof of the Isfahan International Convention Center was highlighted as a commended design; and in the special sector,
the project for the design, procurement, transportation, and installation of hydromechanical equipment for the Shamil and Nian Dam was introduced as a commended design, all of which demonstrate the development of the country's engineering capability in executing special and infrastructure projects.
In this edition,
Engineer Mir Shoja Safaei Toloumi was introduced and honored as a Prominent Steel Figure of the country.

The 6th National Conference on Steel and Structures was held with a focus on sustainable development, optimization of material consumption, and efficiency improvement in the design and execution of steel structures, providing a platform for presenting successful experiences in major national projects.

Top National Steel Designs, significant projects in various categories were introduced; such that in the building sector,
Fereshteh Garden Tower was introduced as the first top steel design of the country and
the new terminal of Kish Island Airport as the second design; in the bridge sector,
Section 3 of the Mianeh Railway was recognized as the first design and
the design, procurement, and execution of Lali Great Bridge as the second design; in the retrofitting sector,
the Tourism Bank project was introduced as a commended design; and in the special sector,
the remediation of service and emergency gates of the sediment discharge tunnel of Shahid Abbaspour Dam was introduced as a commended design, all of which indicate technical progress in the field of design and execution of steel structures.
In this edition,
Engineer Shapour Tahouni was introduced and honored as a Prominent Steel Figure of the country.

Hayat Niavaran project was introduced as the first design,
the 1000-bed Khatam Hospital in Qom as the top design, and
the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture building project as a commended design; in the non-building sector,
the open coil warehouse structures for unit 52 of Mobarakeh Steel Complex in Isfahan was introduced as the first design, and
